Our Leadership

Meet our core leadership team

Michael Storm

Founder and Owner
Michael Storm, DNAP, CRNA, CCRN

Michael graduated from anesthesia school in 2005 and immediately joined the staff at a level 1 trauma center in Columbia, SC.

In 2006 he and his two study mates from anesthesia school started a teaching business, Nurse Anesthesia Review Course 4U, because they felt there was a need for more review courses than was available at that time. In 2013 Michael started Storm Anesthesia on the ashes of NARC 4U to continue his passion for teaching and writing.
In 2020 Michael decided to extend his writing and teaching skills to CRNAs in need for continuing education, and in 2021 he launched recertCRNA with the goal of becoming the premier continuing education website for CRNAs.

When you will not find Michael in front of his computer he can often be found sailing on Lake Murray with his wonderful wife Annette. His love of the outdoors also brings him to the ski-slopes in the Rockies or in Europe. Michael has been a professional fully certified alpine ski instructor for almost 30 years and taught in Vail, CO, Livigno (Italy), Avoriaz (France), and Hemsedal (Norway). One day he and Annette would like to get back into golf, which before anesthesia was a major passion of both Annette and Michael.

Meet our valuable instructors

All of our instructors are highly qualified professionals, all CRNAS, and widely acknowledged in their field.
Jordan Coleman, MNA, CRNA
I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2018. I have been working at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina since then. I have learned a lot and hope to continue learning over the years.

My lovely wife, Katie, put up with me through anesthesia school, and we now have a 2-year-old son and 9 month old daughter. Life is busy and lots of fun! I enjoy working out and taking naps whenever possible!
John Stass, DNAP, CRNA
Dr. John Stas is a retired Army Officer that has decades of acute pain management experience. He has led anesthesia departments to reduce opioid consumption with alternative pain management methods. Additionally, he spent ten years in civil service as both an anesthesia leader and developing a state-of-the-art pain management practice for combat casualties.

Dr. Stas has been teaching advanced regional anesthesia both clinically and didactically for many years in multiple areas to include the University of South Carolina Anesthesia Program and holds a faculty position for Twin Oaks Anesthesia. He is an expert with ultrasonography in the field of regional anesthesia and acute pain management. Dr. Stas graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina and received both a master’s degree from the U.S Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia and a Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University.
Michelle Henry, MNA, CRNA
Although originally from outside of Boston; I have been a transplanted southerner since I moved to South Carolina to attend undergrad and fell in love with the warm weather and amazing people.

I graduated with my Masters in 2006 from the University of South Carolina; and started working at Palmetto Health Richland, now Prisma, in Columbia SC. I have been taking call from day 1 at the level 1 trauma center and trauma and OB are my two favorite kinds of cases!

I’m a mom of 2 fantastic daughters who love all kinds of dance so in my time off I can be found driving carpool to the dance academy! I also love to volunteer, working in my garden, traveling and working out.

Annette N Storm, MNA, CRNA, CCRN
Annette is originally from Denmark and moved to the US in 1990 to try out her nursing skills under a different umbrella. She never wanted to be retired, sitting in the proverbial rocking chair and wonder "what if." Annette is a go getter!

Annette graduated from anesthesia school in 2012 and joined Storm Anesthesia as an instructor in 2013. She has always had a passion for teaching and sharing her knowledge with others. Prior to anesthesia Annette was the educator in the catheterization laboratory for several years.

Annette is passionate about the EP lab and all the intricacies of electrophysiology. Her six years in the cath lab prior to anesthesia comes in very handy when she is now the liaison person between her anesthesia department and the cath lab.
